Releasing Potential in the Community

The team at the Greenbank Partnership realise that we have been fortunate in our lives to have had access to good education, health care and have benefited from opportunities in life which many people in the world today do not have. So it has been our aim to as a business to share some of our skills and resources by helping individuals and community organisations to bring these same opportunities to those in need. Our expressed purpose is to release potential for individuals, organisations and communities –a purpose which goes beyond business itself.

Our aim is to offer some of the skills, knowledge and resources that we are fortunate to have and many worthy organisations need.

Plan UK

http://www.plan-uk.org/

Plan is one of the largest child-centred community development organisations in the world, helping children and their families in 49 of the poorest countries to break the cycle of poverty. Sponsor a child with Plan and you will make a lasting difference to the lives of the world’s poorest children. You’ll help equip them and their communities with the tools and knowledge to implement and achieve long-term, generational change.

Greenbank work with key people from Plan UK to develop the skills they need in their work

The Pemuteran Foundation

http://www.pemuteranfoundaton.com/

This small charity is run by local people who therefore have a good understanding of local needs and the most effective way in which donations can make a real difference in the community. It is based in the small town of Pemuteran on the north western coast of Bali, Indonesia. Despite the idyllic image that most people have of Bali there are many towns and villages that are poor and many families who are struggling in poverty with a lack of access to both healthcare and education.

Greenbank support the work of this charity in a variety of areas, one of which is to help young children to have access to schooling, help with the provision of uniforms, cycles, books and after school study opportunities.

ActionAid

ActionAid is an international anti-poverty agency whose aim is to fight poverty worldwide. Today ActionAid is helping over 13 million of the world's poorest and most disadvantaged people in 42 countries worldwide.

This year Greenbank has been supporting ActionAid’s work in Uganda-a long term project to help families displaced by years of fighting and turmoil to re-build their homes and communities.
